How can you help?
-
Donate. With your help, we’ll provide school supplies and allocate tuition and book scholarship awards to our deserving students, many of whom will be the first in their family to attend college.
-
Spread the word. Did you or someone you know benefit from a college scholarship? Are you familiar with a young person pursuing their college dreams? Sharing your stories and how college scholarships can be the start to a better future can inspire others to join in helping our student get that same opportunity.
Your support is critical to our success. Thank you for your support!
Jamaal was 18 years old when he started attending the Travis Hill School at the Orleans Justice Center. Though his case was pending for fifteen months, Jamaal maintained positivity and made his way to our school every day. He watched his fellow students graduate, and he started to believe he could graduate, too.
On July 26, 2019 Jamaal graduated with his diploma. He proclaimed “Nobody can say that I let coming to jail set me back. I’m graduating at the same time as my classmates.”
Now, back in the community, Jamaal is doing well. He’s working full-time and he’s making plans to enroll in college next semester.
